Music Lab is offering a part-time employed teaching role for a violin and piano teacher who puts education, consistency, and long-term student development first.
This is not a freelance or gig-based role.

Starting at 8 hours per week

Thursday is a fixed working day

12-month contract, automatically renewable
(Hourly equivalent: £22–£25 initially, progressing up to £30/hour)

Priority will be given to applicants with:

Classroom or primary school teaching experience

A Music Education degree and/or PGCE

Strong pedagogical awareness and child-centred practice
You do not need QTS.
However, applicants who clearly prioritise education over performing will be favoured.
This role is not suitable if:

It is designed for someone seeking stable annual income, predictable Saturday work, and meaningful teaching.

Saturdays only

We appreciate that musicians are performers, too. However, if performing is a higher priority for you at the moment, we may not be a good fit as we expect consistency and commitment to our students.
