Music Lab is a trauma-informed music school. That means that all our students can rest assured that we take all their back story into account and we allow our students to express themselves fully and, more importantly, SAFELY.

 

We take being aware of everyone's triggers and needs very seriously and all our teachers are trained in order to achieve this.

Music Lab is also a growth-mindset music school. That means that we focus on what you can become, not on what you are or believe you are.

 

As humans, we are wired to create narratives in our minds that explain why we behave the way we do and why we make ourselves believe that we are less than what we can be.

 

Music Lab is here to help you achieve your highest version of yourself - and not just in music. The skills we teach are transferrable to everything else you do in life!

 

PERFORMANCE-BASED EDUCATION

This is paramount to our ethos as a music school. As you may know, our schooling system is designed around RESULTS. Music Lab designs its approach to education around the concept of EFFORT, PROGRESS and continual MOTIVATION.

 

That means that we focus on performance, not scores or grades. Exams are usually excuses to MEMORISE information and regurgitate it without ever understanding. Our PYRAMID OF MASTERY model ensures that our students understand their material, practice it and then PERFORM it in front of a real audience.
